The starting point
Vani’s previous site, vaniauthor.com, ran on an older WordPress setup and was organised around her four novels: most of the main menu pointed to individual books. Her healing practice, Vajrakaya Healings, sat behind a single menu link, even though it had become the work most visitors came for.
The site was also hard to keep up to date. It was built before the block editor, so everyday changes took more effort than they should, and its structure was designed for an author rather than for her sessions, artwork and masterclasses.

Planning the content
Vani offers more than twenty kinds of sessions, from Reiki and Lama Fera to Akashic Records readings, mediumship and past-life regression. Listed one after another, that is a lot for a new visitor to take in, so we started with the content rather than the design.
- Four clear groups. Sessions are organised into Energy Healing, Soul & Past Lives, Guidance & Communication, and Advanced Healing & Development, each with an overview page.
- A page for every session. Each one explains what the session is, how it works and what to expect, with answers to common questions.
- A starting point for the unsure. Many people don’t know which session they need, so a short paid consultation helps them choose, with booking and payment options built into the flow.
- Trust in their own words. Client testimonials are grouped by type of session, so visitors can read experiences close to their own.

A calm, readable design
The design is meant to feel calm and unhurried: warm and soft blue-grey backgrounds, a serif for headings, generous spacing and plain language. The “Book a Session” button stays in the header on every page, and each service group ends with a direct link to sessions and fees.

Her books, artwork, masterclasses and media appearances still have a home, in a “Beyond the Healing Room” section that sits alongside the healing work instead of competing with it.

Built for the block editor
We built a custom Gutenberg-based theme with a companion plugin for the site’s own blocks, so pages are put together from reusable sections Vani can edit herself in the WordPress block editor. We moved all the existing content across from the old site and added the new content she provided.
Every page was designed and checked for phones as well as desktop.

Launch
The new site launched in October 2026 at vanikaushal.com, about ten weeks after we started. It gives Vani one place for her healing practice, books, artwork and teaching, built on a setup she can keep up to date as her work grows.
