What I can help with
From Figma to a working React frontend.
- Designs to components: turning Figma designs into responsive React interfaces.
- Component libraries: Material UI styled to match your design rather than the library’s default look.
- Live data: connecting the frontend to your APIs, with React Query to fetch, cache and refresh data.
- Working alongside your team: implementing each API as your backend developers deliver it.
Experience
More than four years on one product.
From July 2020 to February 2025 I built and extended the React frontend of BookTravelGetRewards, a travel booking and rewards website, from the first screens onwards.
Questions
Common questions
Do you work with backend developers?
Yes. On BookTravelGetRewards the APIs came from the client’s backend team and I built the frontend against them as they became available.
Can you combine React with WordPress?
Yes. I work with both, so a project can use WordPress for content and React where an interface needs it.
How do you charge?
Fixed price or hourly, depending on your requirements and budget. A clearly defined project can have a fixed price; ongoing or open-ended work suits an hourly rate.
How do we keep in touch?
Whichever suits you: email, Skype, Upwork or another tool your team already uses.
